Antivirus scan pop3 mail?
A: Not in real time but when it does during a scheduled scan.
Q: When will CA Anti-Virus check for viruses?
A: CA Anti-Virus real-time monitor runs
in the background, scanning files as they are executed and or written to and
read from a disk in real time. CA Anti-virus detects viruses in files
downloaded from the Internet, online services, and email systems, including
compressed file archives.
Q: Does an independent third party test the CA Threat
product line?
A: CA has received detection and removal
certifications for malware and spyware from ICSA Labs, West Coast Labs and
Virus Bulletin. CA Anti-virus consistently receives the "100%
Award" from Virus Bulletin. West Coast Labs has also given CA
Checkmark certifications for anti-malware detection and removal and
Anti-spyware desktop detection.
Q: If my CA maintenance is really up this month, why does
my central consol display say I have x number of days until expiration?
A: When you upgrade to the newest
version your product automatically is extended for the next 360 days from the
time of the upgrade. However, maintenance date on the product does not
change. If you let the maintenance expire, you will no longer be able to
receive any tech support from CA or Productive. You will also not be able
to receive any free upgrades when a new version of the product is
released.
Q: Why should I renew my CA Security product if I
continue to get signatures?
A: You will not be eligible for upgrades
or tech support.
