CA Anti-Spyware

Description

CA Anti-Spyware provides a comprehensive anti-spyware and anti-malware solution that detects and removes spyware, protects business information and improves PC and network performance. Rest easy at night knowing that Ca AS is protecting your system.

Key Features

  • Active Protection - harmful executables are stopped dead, spyware, root kits, keyloggers, and other malicious code cannot execute and are promptly removed.

  • Centralized Manageability - comprehensive spyware protection via a central management console that allows for easy installation, deployment and administration

  • Comprehensive Scanning - administrators can launch scans at scheduled times or when users log in to the network.

  • Flexible Reporting Capabilities - reports can be created based on workstation, date/time, security risk priority and pest category. Automated email alerts of pests detected can be configured to meet specific business needs such as, defining "safe lists' or exclusion files of authorized applications to prevent false alarms.

  • Unified, Web-based Management Console - an integrated, web-based management console that can be accessed from anywhere in the network.

  • Improved Agent Communications - communications between the CA Anti-Spyware agent and the web-based management console are initiated by the agent. This allows the agent to regularly "phone home" to the management console where it reports its status and obtains new policy configuration changes for proactive real-time management.

  • Bandwidth-saving Signature Updates - DAT antivirus signature updates are now less than 500KB in size. This is a more efficient way to distribute updates and ensures up-to-the-minute protection while saving valuable bandwidth.

  • Enhanced Workstation Management - policy updates are automatically deployed when new workstations are added within CA Anti-Spyware.

  • One-step Virus Block - this one-step virus block feature allows swift isolation of networks that may be experiencing a new virus outbreak. File extension can be added to the blocked extension list denying all access to such files in situations where new, potential viruses are detected.
