Productive's Take: the newest Threat Manager release 8.1 has MicroDAT antivirus signature updates that are less than 500KB in size which leads to a smaller security footprint on the desktop giving end-users higher performance.
When evaluating Threat Manager or any software that is going to reside on the desktop make sure you review the client computer requirements. See Threat Manager's client and server requirements here. Other questions that you should be asking are;

• How many remote users do I have and how will they receive security updates?
• How many sites do I have and how do those sites connect to each other and to the internet in order to receive signature updates?
